Elsevier wanted to offer a new, highly specialized, search interface to their clients to enable a new layer of retrieval from Elsevier's immense collection of medical articles. Because of the complex nature the material, the user interface had to be built on a robust, easy to use, and specialized user experience. Strategic review sessions with Elsevier’s in-house User Centered Design team led to a staged development of Axure prototypes, which were tested with panels of target users.

Elsevier was very satisfied with the new interface, which tested well with users and the product launch proceeded on deadline.
